How to get your whole group ready for a Ticketmaster sale and show

Your group chat wants to see the same show, and somebody has to actually get the tickets. Then, six months later, somebody has to get everyone out the door on time. Both come down to the same problem: making sure everyone is ready at the exact right moment.

LFG Alarm puts a real alarm on everyone's phone. Set one for the on-sale, set one for show night, and share the link in your group chat. Everyone who taps it rings together, at the same moment, wherever they are.

Make a Ticketmaster on-sale alarm

Ticketmaster says the waiting room typically opens 15 to 30 minutes before a sale, and if you join late, you're at the back of the line. So don't set your alarm for the sale itself.

  1. Find the sale time on the event's Ticketmaster page. Presales and the general on-sale are often different times.
  2. In LFG Alarm, make a time alarm for 30 minutes before the sale.
  3. Make it a friends alarm, then tap Create alarm and copy its link.
  4. Drop the link in your group chat. Everyone taps it once and rings at the same moment.
  5. Add a note with the plan: who's buying, the price limit, and which sections work.

Pick one buyer

Ticketmaster calls the person who buys for the group the Ticket Captain. Decide who that is before the sale, and have a backup in case they get a bad spot in the queue. Everyone else rings too, so they're around to answer "these seats ok?" fast.

When tickets arrive, the Captain can use Ticketmaster's Transfer feature, when it's available for that event, to send each person their ticket.

Make a show night alarm

  1. Copy the event's Ticketmaster link from its page. Use the full address with the date in it.
  2. In LFG Alarm, tap Got a link? and paste it. Rocco reads the name, picture, venue and start time.
  3. Under Goes off, pick 2 hr, so the group has time to get ready and leave.
  4. Make it a friends alarm and share the link.

Not every Ticketmaster link can be read. If Rocco can't match yours to an event, make a time alarm for the same moment instead. It rings just the same.

Use the note for what the group needs on the night: where you're meeting, who's driving and which gate you're using.

Doors usually open well before the show starts. If you want to be there for the opener, set a time alarm instead, based on when you need to leave.

Three group chats

The arena tour. The presale is Tuesday at 10. Dani sets an alarm for 9:30 and drops it in the chat. All five phones ring, Dani's in the waiting room, and everyone's around to agree on seats.

The stadium road trip. Six friends, two cars, one 4pm parking lot plan. The alarm rings at noon with the pickup order in the note.

The small-venue show. It's a Wednesday and people will talk themselves out of it. An alarm at 6 is the nudge that gets everyone off the couch.

Let your AI set it up

try this

Have your AI agent make it.

Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or any AI agent that can add a connector, not into the LFG Alarm app. The setup steps come with it: get the LFG Alarm app, connect it to your agent once, and your agent makes the alarm in your account.

Use LFG Alarm to set a friends alarm called [artist] tickets for [day] at [30 minutes before the sale], with a note that says who's buying, then give me its link for my group chat.

Already have the LFG Alarm app and connected it to your AI agent?

Why it works. You get an alarm and a link to paste. Connect LFG Alarm to your AI app first: see [AI agents](/agents).

Common mistakes

  • Setting the alarm for the sale time. By then, the waiting room's been open for a while.
  • Mixing up time zones. On-sale times follow the venue or the listing, so check yours. An LFG alarm rings at one moment for everybody by default.
  • Everyone buying separately. You can end up scattered across the arena. Agree on one buyer.
  • Sorting accounts at the last minute. Ticketmaster suggests checking your account and payment details before the sale.

questions people ask
Does LFG Alarm buy tickets?

No. It only rings your phones. You still buy on Ticketmaster, and it can't get you through a queue faster or guarantee tickets.

Can it tell me when Ticketmaster tickets go on sale?

You set the time yourself from the event page. To watch a page for changes, you can also set up a monitoring alarm with Rocco.

Does everyone need the app?

Yes. Everyone who wants the alarm to ring needs the free LFG Alarm app and taps your link once.

Does this work for other ticket sites?

On-sale alarms work for any sale, because you set the time yourself. Pasting a link works for many ticket sites, including DICE, Posh and most Eventbrite pages. Some sites, like AXS and Tixr, can't be read yet, so use a time alarm for those.
