Here's how to remind guests about your event: send a few short messages at the right moments, then put a real alarm on the phones of the people who matter most. LFG Alarm does that last part. Your guests tap one link, and it rings on their phone like an alarm clock when it's time to get ready or leave.
When to remind your guests
For most parties and events, three reminders do the job:
| When | What to send | Why |
|---|---|---|
| About a week before | A friendly note asking them to confirm | Catches anyone who forgot while they can still plan around it |
| A day or two before | The time, the address and anything they need to bring | This is when people decide what their weekend looks like |
| The day of | A real alarm, an hour or two before it starts | A text can sit unread. An alarm goes off |

How to put an alarm on your guest list
- In LFG Alarm, tap Got a link? and paste your event's page. Rocco reads the name, picture, place and start time.
- Under Goes off, pick when it rings: at the start, or 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours before.
- Choose who it's for, then tap Create alarm and copy its link. It looks like
lfg.gm/a/xxxxxxxx. - Send that link in your reminder. Guests tap it and join in the LFG Alarm app, and it rings on all their phones.
No event page? Make a time alarm for the moment you want it to ring, and share that link the same way.
Which reminder fits your kind of event
Different hosts have different problems, so here's where to start:
- Birthday, house party or dinner on Partiful: it's your friends, so a friends alarm fits. Start with turning a Partiful invite into an alarm.
- Club night, day party or VIP list on Posh: you've got a door and a table list to protect. See ringing your Posh guest list.
- Ticketed event on Eventbrite: people paid, and you want a full room when it starts. See ringing an Eventbrite crowd.
- Meetup group: free RSVPs drop off the most. See getting Meetup RSVPs to show up.
- Luma community or launch event: see making sure Luma guests show up.
- Going to a show with friends: you're not the host, but someone has to organize the group. See getting your group to a Ticketmaster show.
- Wedding, reunion or anything with no event page: make a time alarm for each moment that matters, like the shuttle, the ceremony or the group photo.
Let your AI set it up
Have your AI agent make it.
Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or any AI agent that can add a connector, not into the LFG Alarm app. The setup steps come with it: get the LFG Alarm app, connect it to your agent once, and your agent makes the alarm in your account.
Use LFG Alarm to set an event alarm from [your event link] that rings 2 hours before it starts, then give me its link and a short reminder text I can send my guests.
Already have the LFG Alarm app and connected it to your AI agent?
Why it works. You get the alarm and a message ready to paste, in one request. Connect LFG Alarm to your AI app first: see [AI agents](/agents).
Common mistakes
- Only reminding people once. One message is easy to miss. A short schedule isn't nagging.
- Sending the same long message every time. Each reminder should do one job.
- Leaving out the address. On the day, people want the time and where to go, nothing else.
- Sharing the alarm on the day. Send the link a day or two ahead so people have time to tap it.
