What Partiful already does
As of October 2026, Partiful's help centre says:
- Going guests get a reminder 2 hours before the event, by text, iMessage, WhatsApp or push.
- Maybe and not-yet-responded guests get a reminder to finalise their RSVP a week before.
- Hosts can turn the reminders on or off, but cannot change when they are sent.
- Hosts can send up to 10 text blasts per event.
What LFG Alarm adds
- A heads-up at the right moment. Two hours before is the sweet spot for a party: time to get ready and head over. Or ring at the start, 30 minutes or an hour before.
- The best way to call 40 people. One alarm rings every guest who joined in the same second, without 40 calls or one more text in a pile of notifications.
- A reward for the first one up. The wake board shows who answered first: give them the first drink.
- An alarm, not a text. An event alarm is a real alarm on both phones: on iPhone it rings through silent mode and Focus, and on Android it takes over the screen even when the phone is locked.
- A clearer yes. Joining an alarm takes intent, so the guests riding it are the ones who mean it.
- A theme. A party song or voice on the alarm, and a mystery alarm that keeps its video or message sealed until the second it rings: good for revealing the theme.
- The details where people look. A creator's note for the door code or what to bring, and a call-to-action link that opens a map or the playlist when guests answer.
Three parties
The rooftop birthday. Zara's Partiful says 34 going for Saturday at 9:00. She knows from last year that a third will "head over soon" at 11. She pastes the Partiful link into LFG Alarm, and sets it to go off 2 hr before, so people start getting ready at 7:00. She puts the alarm link in a text blast: "Tap this so your phone rings at 7, first one up on the board gets a drink on me." 22 people ride it. On the night the wake board shows who answered first.
The dinner party for eight. With eight seats, two empty chairs ruin the table. Omar makes the event alarm for 30 minutes before, as a friends alarm with "I approve each one", so only guests get in. The creator's note says "buzz flat 4, bring a bottle".
The house-warming with friends in other cities. A few friends are joining on a video call for the toast at 10:00. The same alarm rings them in their own time zone at the same moment, and the call link goes in the call-to-action link.
How to use them together
- Make your invite on Partiful as usual.
- In LFG Alarm, tap Got a link? and paste the Partiful link. Rocco reads the name, the picture and the start time.
- Under Goes off, pick At start, 30 min, 1 hr or 2 hr (one hour is the default), choose who it is for, and tap Create alarm. See Event alarms.
- Put the alarm link,
lfg.gm/a/<alarm-code>, in one of your Partiful text blasts and in the group chat.
Guests can also paste the same Partiful link into LFG Alarm and make their own alarm.
Your AI agent can also make it: give it the Partiful link and say how long before to ring.
Common mistakes
- Doubling up with Partiful's own two-hour reminder. If Partiful already texts going guests two hours before, ring at a different moment, or turn Partiful's reminder off in the host settings.
- Choosing the song after people join. Once a second person rides the alarm, its sound and picture are sealed.
- Posting the link only on the event page. The text blast and the group chat are where people actually read.
