LFG Alarm vs Alarm Share: shared alarms compared

Alarm Share and LFG Alarm both let you set an alarm that rings on someone else's phone. Alarm Share, by Mont Ivy Platforms, is built around sending an alarm by link with a voice note, plus time zone helpers and productivity timers. LFG Alarm is a social alarm clock: the same shared alarms, and Rocco, LFG's agent, can also ring everyone when something happens online. We make LFG Alarm, and this comparison is meant to be fair.

Where Alarm Share is better

  • Long-range dates. Monthly, quarterly and yearly alarms with advance reminders, handy for birthdays and renewals.
  • Work across time zones. World time for each team city and a meeting-overlap finder.
  • Productivity timers. Pomodoro, water and screen-break reminders in the same app.
  • No sign-up, it says. Its website says no account is needed.

Where LFG Alarm is better

  • Moments without a set time. Rocco, LFG's agent, watches the web and rings you when an account posts, a stream goes live, a token hits your number, or your own script calls the alarm's link.
  • Friends who can see if you got up. The wake board shows who got up first, who snoozed and who slept in.
  • Set from your AI app. Ask Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app for an alarm in plain words, and it rings on your phone. See AI agents.
  • A ring screen worth waking to. Hundreds of songs, voices and sirens, your own photos, GIFs and videos, and mystery alarms that stay wrapped until they ring.

Which one should you get?

  • Choose Alarm Share if you mostly send reminders across time zones for work, want yearly dates with advance reminders, or want timers in the same app.
  • Choose LFG Alarm if you want shared alarms for your partner, friends or group, alarms for things that happen online, a wake board, or to set alarms from your AI app.

questions people ask
Do both ring the other person's phone?

Yes. Both send an alarm by link that rings on the other person's phone once they accept it.

Does the other person need the app?

For LFG Alarm, yes: the LFG Alarm app on iPhone or Android. Alarm Share's listings disagreed when we checked: its Play text said no app is needed to receive, while its App Store listing sends people without the app to download it.

Can Alarm Share ring when someone posts or a price moves?

Not that we could find in its listings. In LFG Alarm, Rocco watches for those moments and rings everyone on the alarm. See also Best alarm clock apps, Group alarms and Send an alarm to someone's phone.
