LFG Alarm vs Nansen

Nansen and LFG Alarm both tell you when wallets you care about move, but they do different jobs. Nansen is an on-chain analytics platform that labels wallets, including its well-known "Smart Money" label, and sends Smart Alerts to Telegram, Discord, Slack or a webhook. LFG Alarm is a social alarm clock for iPhone and Android: it rings like an alarm when a wallet, a FOMO trader or a GMGN KOL makes a trade over a floor you set, or a token hits your price, and it can ring your friends at the same time. We make LFG Alarm; this is a fair comparison as of October 2026.

Where Nansen is stronger

  • Research. Nansen is the name most people reach for when they search for a smart money tracker. Its labels tell you who a wallet probably is, which LFG Alarm does not try to do.
  • Smart Money flows. You can alert on Smart Money token flows crossing a threshold, not just on one wallet, which is a view of the whole market.
  • Hyperliquid positions. Its Smart Alerts cover Hyperliquid perps positions. LFG Alarm does not watch perps.
  • Team delivery. Telegram groups and channels, Discord, Slack, and a custom webhook with optional HMAC-SHA256 signing make it easy to pipe alerts into a desk or a bot.
  • AI-built alerts. Describe what you want and its AI agent builds the alert.
  • A mobile app. The Nansen AI app promises "Immediate Smart Alerts on the wallets you care about".

Where LFG Alarm is different

  • It rings. On Android it rings as a full-screen alarm, even on Do Not Disturb. On iPhone it arrives as a time-sensitive alert with the alarm's own sound, which can come through Focus but respects the silent switch; keep the ringer on. In Nansen's pages we found no mention of alerts that ring through silent mode or keep ringing until answered.
  • Handles instead of addresses. Follow a FOMO trader or a GMGN KOL by handle. Paste a wallet when you have one, on Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB, Arbitrum or Robinhood Chain.
  • Floors built for waking up. A wallet rings over $1k, $2k, $5k or $10k (default $5k); a FOMO trader for buys over $5k, $10k or $25k and every sell, with an optional thesis; a GMGN KOL over $100, $500 or $1k. After a ring, a trades alarm stays quiet for 15 minutes.
  • Friends wake together. Share an alarm and everyone is rung at once.
  • No wallet connection, nothing to sign, no trading in the app. It reads public trades and prices.

Research by day, alarms by night

The two tools answer different questions. Nansen answers "which wallets should I care about, and what is smart money doing?" LFG Alarm answers "will I know when this one wallet moves, even at 3am?"

A realistic split: Hana spends Sunday afternoon in Nansen, filtering Smart Money wallets that bought into a sector early. She ends up with a shortlist of twelve. Nansen's Smart Alerts send the whole list to her Telegram, which she reads during the day. Two of the twelve are wallets she wants to be woken for: one Ethereum wallet that has been accumulating a token she holds, and one Base wallet that tends to sell before drops. Those two go into LFG Alarm, Sells over $10k on both, shared with the two friends in her research group. The rest stay as reading.

Which one should you get?

  • Nansen if you want to research wallets, see what labelled Smart Money is doing across the market, watch Hyperliquid positions, or route alerts to Slack, Discord and webhooks.
  • LFG Alarm if you already know which trader or wallet matters and want to be woken, with your friends, when they make a big move.

They fit together well: find the wallets in Nansen, then set an LFG Alarm on the two or three worth waking up for. More options are in Crypto alert apps compared and Smart money and KOL tracking.

Make it in the app

  1. Copy the wallet address from Nansen.
  2. In LFG Alarm, on Alarms, tap 📈 Onchain (on lfg.gm, Create, then Onchain) and paste it. Ethereum, Base, BNB, Arbitrum, Solana and Robinhood Chain wallets work.
  3. Pick Buys, Sells or both, and a floor of $1k, $2k, $5k or $10k.
  4. Keep it private or share it with friends (a pasted wallet is never public), then tap That's it.

Wallet alarms from an AI agent are coming; for now, make them in the app or on lfg.gm.
