Where Cryptocurrency Alerting is stronger
- Range. It covers far more kinds of alert than we do: trading volume, new exchange listings, gas, the mempool, market cap and even stocks.
- Delivery choices. Ten channels, from email and Slack to webhooks and Pushover. If your alerts belong in a team channel or a script, it has the plumbing.
- A real phone call. It can ring your phone with an automated call, and in its own words, "An automated recording will read your alert out loud when you answer." That is a genuine wake-up, not a quiet push.
- Bitcoin and more EVM chains. Its wallet watch includes Bitcoin, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche and Tron, which LFG Alarm does not watch.
Where LFG Alarm is different
- Follow a trader by handle. Type a FOMO trader's or a GMGN KOL's handle, with no wallet address needed. We found no mention of following anyone by handle on Cryptocurrency Alerting.
- A floor on every trade. A pasted wallet rings over $1k, $2k, $5k or $10k (default $5k). A FOMO trader rings for buys over $5k, $10k or $25k, and every sell. A GMGN KOL rings over $100, $500 or $1k. Small trades stay quiet.
- Solana wallets. Solana is not listed in Cryptocurrency Alerting's wallet chains; it is in ours, with Ethereum, Base, BNB, Arbitrum and Robinhood Chain.
- It is an alarm, not a call. On Android it rings as a full-screen alarm, even on Do Not Disturb. On iPhone it arrives as a time-sensitive alert with the alarm's own sound, which can come through Focus but respects the silent switch; keep the ringer on. A phone call and an alarm suit different people: a call reads you the words, an alarm plays a sound and a wallpaper you chose, and every friend on it rings at the same moment.
- Your friends ride along. Share an alarm and everyone on it is rung at once. Trader and token alarms can also be public, so a community can follow one link.
- Calm after a ring. A trades alarm stays quiet for 15 minutes after it rings.
- No wallet connection, nothing to sign, no trading in the app. It reads public trades and prices, then wakes you.
Cryptocurrency Alerting notes weekly caps on SMS and calls "since they are costly for us to send", and calls outside the US and Canada need its Pro plan. We could not confirm the exact caps.
The same night, two ways
Both tools can get you out of bed, so the difference shows up in the details.
With Cryptocurrency Alerting. Rui holds BTC and ETH and cares about gas and new exchange listings. He sets a price alert on BTC and a wallet watch on a Bitcoin cold-storage address he follows, with phone calls for the price alert. At 03:00 his phone rings with an automated call that reads the alert to him. It covers his whole list, across chains LFG Alarm does not watch.
With LFG Alarm. Dana trades Solana memecoins and follows one FOMO trader and one wallet that buys early. She wants only trades over a size, and she wants her two trading friends woken with her. She sets the wallet at Buys over $5k and the trader on Sells, shares both with friends, and leaves the ringer on. When the trader sells, three phones ring together, and the group chat starts before anyone has the chart open.
Neither is wrong. Rui's alerts are broad and personal; Dana's are narrow and shared.
Which one should you get?
- Cryptocurrency Alerting if you want many alert types in one place, Bitcoin or wider EVM wallet coverage, webhooks, or a phone call that reads the alert to you.
- LFG Alarm if the moment you care about is a particular trader or wallet making a big trade, especially on Solana, or a token hitting your number, and you want your group woken with you.
Some people will run both. See Crypto alert apps compared for the wider field.
Make it in the app
