Searching the App Store for "Whale Alert" turns up a marine app about real whales. The crypto Whale Alert has no store app; its FAQ says there is "no standalone app in the app stores yet".
Two kinds of whale watching
"Whale alert" covers two different jobs, and the best app depends on which one you have:
- The market-wide feed. You want to hear when 5,000 BTC moves to an exchange, from any wallet, because it might mean selling pressure. You do not know the wallet in advance. Whale Alert, Arkham and Nansen are built for this.
- One whale you already know. You have a specific address: the wallet that has been buying a mid-cap token for a month, or the deployer wallet of a token you hold. You want to know the moment it trades big, and nothing else. Cielo, Cryptocurrency Alerting and LFG Alarm are built for this.
A feed is something you read when you have time. A specific whale is something you might want to be woken for.

The tools
Whale Alert is the best-known whale brand. It tracks large transactions, with free public feeds and paid alerts from $14.95 a month, plus an API from $29.95.
Arkham labels wallets with real-world entities and can alert you on an exchange or fund as a whole, filtered by token, amount, USD value and chain. Its app is free; as of 16 October 2026 its Google Play listing shows 4.8 from 865 reviews.
Nansen is the name most searches for a smart money tracker turn up. Smart Alerts cover transfers from tracked addresses, Smart Money flow thresholds and Hyperliquid positions. One alert is free; Pro is $49 a month billed yearly.
Lookonchain is known for free whale posts on X, and has a free iOS app tracking "whale movements, token flows". You follow its curated feed rather than your own list.
Cielo tracks many wallets on its free plan and sends alerts to Telegram, Discord and the web.
Cryptocurrency Alerting offers whale and wallet alerts among many others, and can phone you with an automated call that reads the alert out loud. Its wallet watch covers Bitcoin and several EVM chains, not Solana.
Where the others are stronger
- Market-wide coverage. Whale Alert sees big moves from wallets you have never heard of.
- Who is behind a wallet. Arkham and Nansen label wallets; LFG Alarm does not.
- Lists. Cielo handles hundreds of wallets; LFG Alarm is made for a few.
- Channels. Arkham, Nansen and Cryptocurrency Alerting send webhooks and team messages, and Cryptocurrency Alerting phones you.
Where LFG Alarm is different
- It rings like an alarm. On Android it rings as a full-screen alarm, even on Do Not Disturb. On iPhone it arrives as a time-sensitive alert with the alarm's own sound, which can come through Focus but respects the silent switch; keep the ringer on.
- A floor on the whale you chose. Paste a wallet on Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB, Arbitrum or Robinhood Chain and pick $1k, $2k, $5k or $10k (default $5k). After a ring it stays quiet for 15 minutes.
- Traders by handle. A FOMO trader rings for buys over $5k, $10k or $25k and every sell; a GMGN KOL over $100, $500 or $1k.
- Friends together. Share the alarm and everyone is rung at once.
- No wallet connection, nothing to sign, no trading in the app.
Which one should you get?
- To see every big move: Whale Alert.
- To research who a whale is: Arkham or Nansen.
- To follow a long list: Cielo.
- For a phone call on many alert types: Cryptocurrency Alerting.
- To be woken, with your friends, when one whale you care about trades big: LFG Alarm.
One whale, one alarm
Mo has been watching an Ethereum wallet that accumulated a mid-cap token for six weeks. If it starts selling, he wants to know that night, not from a screenshot the next morning. He pastes it into LFG Alarm, picks Sells and a $10k floor, and shares it with two friends who hold the same token. Small transfers stay quiet. When the wallet sells $60k at 04:15, three phones ring. Mo checks the chart and the token's order books, sees the price has barely moved yet, and makes his own call; one friend sleeps through it on an iPhone with the ringer off, which is why the ringer matters.
Make a whale alarm in the app
- On Alarms, tap 📈 Onchain. On lfg.gm, tap Create, then Onchain.
- Paste the whale's wallet address (Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB, Arbitrum or Robinhood Chain).
- Pick Buys, Sells or both, and a floor of $1k, $2k, $5k or $10k.
- Keep it private or share it with friends, then tap That's it.
Wallet alarms from an AI agent are coming; for now, make them in the app or on lfg.gm.
