Before you start
- Get the LFG Alarm app on your phone from Google Play or the App Store, and sign in. The voice agent makes the alarms; the app is what rings them.
- A personal key, since a voice agent cannot do a sign-in. Make one below.
- An ElevenLabs workspace that allows MCP. ElevenLabs turns MCP off until the workspace opts in, and it is not available on HIPAA or zero-retention workspaces.
A key acts as you, and this matters most for voice. Your agent sets alarms on the key owner's phone, whoever is talking to it. Anyone who reaches the agent, by its phone number, a widget on a web page or a shared link, would be setting alarms on your phone. Use LFG Alarm with an agent that is just for you, or for a few people who all want the same alarms, and keep it off public or customer-facing agents.
Make a key
- In LFG Alarm, open Settings > Connected AI apps, on lfg.gm or in the app.
- Tap Make a key, name it after the agent (for example "ElevenLabs assistant"), and tap Make the key.
- The key is shown once, with Copy and Done: "Copy it now. It won't be shown again." Copy it, keep it ready for the next step, then tap Done.
- It now shows in the list as Personal key, with when it was last used.
The screen says it plainly: "For an AI app that asks for a key instead of a sign-in, like Manus, a coding agent or your own script. A key acts as you, so keep it out of any agent other people use."
Keys start with lfg_pat_, work only at the LFG Alarm MCP server, and you can have up to 20. A key has the same plan limits as signing in.
Connect it
1. Turn on MCP for the workspace. In the ElevenLabs dashboard, accept the MCP server terms when it asks (a workspace admin may need to). Until then, the custom server option does not appear.
2. Add the server.
- Open MCP server integrations and click Add Custom MCP Server.
- Name:
LFG Alarm. Description: something the agent can read, such as "Sets alarms that ring on my phone". - Server URL:
https://mcp.lfg.gm(no/mcpon the end). Streamable HTTP is fine. - Authentication. There is a Secret Token field and an HTTP Headers field. We could not confirm whether the Secret Token field adds the word Bearer for you, so the sure way is HTTP Headers: name
Authorization, valueBearer lfg_pat_...(the word Bearer, a space, then your key). - Click Add Integration. ElevenLabs tests it by listing LFG Alarm's tools. If the list appears, it worked.
3. Choose the approval mode. ElevenLabs offers Always Ask, Fine-Grained per tool, or No Approval. Fine-Grained is the good middle: let setting and listing alarms run on their own, and set deleting an alarm to require approval.
4. Attach it to your agent. Open the agent, add the LFG Alarm server to its tools, and save. In the agent's prompt, say when to use it: "When I ask to be woken or reminded at a time, set an LFG Alarm and read back the time it rings."
Use it by voice
Voice is a good fit for alarms because the moment you think of one is usually the moment your hands are full.
- Cooking or driving. "Set an alarm for 5:40 tomorrow, I am on the early train." The agent reads back the time, so you hear it is right without looking.
- Before bed. "Wake me at 7 every weekday this week and call it Get up." One sentence becomes a repeating alarm.
- With friends. "Make a friends alarm for Saturday at 8 called Hike and add my friend [username]." LFG Alarm tells the agent who it would add, the agent asks you, and nothing is sent until you say yes.
- Something online. "Ring me when SOL moves 10 percent", or "ring me when [channel] goes live on Twitch".
Keep the agent's answers short in its prompt: a voice that reads out a link and a share message is long-winded. Tell it to say the time and the name, and skip the link.
Try it
Once it is attached, say to your agent:
Have your AI agent make it.
Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or any AI agent that can add a connector, not into the LFG Alarm app. The setup steps come with it: get the LFG Alarm app, connect it to your agent once, and your agent makes the alarm in your account.
Set an LFG Alarm for 6:15 tomorrow morning called "Run", and tell me the time it goes off.
Already have the LFG Alarm app and connected it to your AI agent?
Why it works. A one-off time alarm and the time spoken back, short enough for a voice call, and it proves the server, key and agent are wired up.
More ideas: "List my alarms for tomorrow", "Turn off my Gym alarm", or "Make my Sunday run alarm a friends alarm and add [username]". Through a key, LFG Alarm can set time, price, post, event and anything alarms, pick a sound or a look from the library, and add your friends or a whole group once you confirm. Each alarm comes back with its link, a share picture with a QR code and a message ready to send. Wallet and trader alarms are made in the app. See Using LFG Alarm from your AI agent.
If it does not work
- No Add Custom MCP Server option. The workspace has not opted in to MCP, or it is a HIPAA or zero-retention workspace, where MCP is not available.
- Add Integration fails. Check the URL is exactly
https://mcp.lfg.gm, and move the key from Secret Token to an HTTP headerAuthorization: Bearer lfg_pat_.... - The agent talks about the alarm but none appears. Check the server is attached to this agent, and that approval mode is not waiting for an approval no one gave.
- Calls feel slow. Every tool the server offers is described to the model. Fine-Grained mode lets you disable the tools your agent never needs.
- It refuses an alarm. A key has the same plan limits as signing in. For plans and pricing, go to lfg.gm.
- Still stuck? Write to us from the support page.
Disconnect
In LFG Alarm, open Settings > Connected AI apps and tap Disconnect beside the key. It stops working at once, even mid-call. You can also remove the integration in ElevenLabs. Your alarms stay in your account and keep ringing.
