Alarmy and LFG Alarm are both alarms built to actually get you up, but they solve different problems. Alarmy makes sure you get out of bed, with missions you have to finish to turn it off. ## Where Alarmy is better

- **Forcing you out of bed.** Missions mean you have to be awake to stop it. A photo mission sends you to the bathroom sink; a barcode mission to the toothpaste in the kitchen.
- **Catching you going back to sleep.** Wake Up Check rings again if you do not confirm you are up after the alarm.
- **Sleep tools.** Alarmy has sleep tracking, a morning sleep report, snore recording and sleep sounds; LFG Alarm has none of these.
- **Scale and track record.** Alarmy has 50M+ downloads on Android and ratings from millions of people.

## Where LFG Alarm is better

- **Waking more than one person.** One alarm, one link, every phone that joined rings in the same second. Flatmates on the same 7:00, a run club at 5:45 on Saturdays, a couple catching a 6:00am flight.
- **Accountability from people, not puzzles.** A friend riding your alarm sees on the [wake board](https://lfg.gm/wiki/wake-board) whether you got up, how many times you snoozed, and who has to buy the coffee.
- **Moments without a set time.** Ring when someone posts, when a stream goes live, when a token hits your number, or when your own script calls the alarm's link.
- **Time zones.** A shared alarm can ring everyone at the same moment, or each person at their own 6:00 wherever they live.

## Which one should you get?

- Choose **Alarmy** if your problem is turning off the alarm half asleep and falling back asleep, and you want to track your sleep.
- Choose **LFG Alarm** if you want to wake up with other people, or for things that happen at no fixed time.
- Some heavy sleepers use both: Alarmy for the solo 6am with a mission, LFG Alarm for the group alarm and the moments.

## A setup for the snooze-prone, in LFG Alarm

1. Make a repeating time alarm for 6:00 on weekdays, with a siren and the Drill sergeant voice.
2. Set **Snooze** to 5 minutes, 3 times, and the **Chaos level** in Settings to **feral**, so every snooze is roasted.
3. Turn on **Make it social** and share it with one friend who gets up early. They see on the board if you slept in.

Why it works: The witness is the part Alarmy does not have: someone who knows if you slept in. Pick the siren and voice in the app afterwards.

No. LFG Alarm wakes you with loud sounds and voices, and keeps you honest with friends on the wake board, rather than with a puzzle.

### Can Alarmy ring my friends' phones?
We found no shared or group alarms on Alarmy's site or store listings as of October 2026.

### Are both free to download?
Yes. Both are free to download on iPhone and Android.

### Which is louder?
Both can be very loud. Alarmy lists an Alarm Sound Power-Up; LFG Alarm has sirens, horns and shouting voices. On iPhone, LFG Alarm's time alarms ring through silent mode and Focus.
