# How to set a crypto price alarm that actually wakes you

Crypto and markets · https://lfg.gm/crypto-price-alarm

Most crypto price alerts arrive as a banner, so people keep checking the chart anyway, and ten one-minute looks a day add up to about 60 hours a year. LFG Alarm is a social alarm clock for iPhone and Android: Rocco watches the price for you and rings your phone when it hits your number, a percent move or a multiple, full screen on Android and as a time-sensitive alert with its own sound on iPhone. It works for bitcoin, ether, solana and any token with a contract. No exchange login and no wallet to connect.

## The chart-check calculator

Checks a day, times seconds each, times 365, divided by 3,600 gives hours a year. Ten checks of a minute each is about 61 hours, or 1.5 work weeks. Add two two-minute looks at 3am and it grows, plus the sleep either side of every one. One price alarm stands in for all of it: set once, it rings when it hits.

## Alert versus alarm

An alert is a banner you swipe away with the dozens of others: a 2018 study of 278 phone users counted a median of 56 notifications a day. An alarm is loud, has its own sound, and is made to get you up. On Android a price alarm rings full screen, even on Do Not Disturb. On iPhone it arrives as a time-sensitive alert with the alarm's own sound; keep the ringer on.

## How it works

Pick the coin, type your number (or a percent, or a 2x), and go back to your day. Examples: bitcoin hits 140,000, ether down 10%, solana 2x. Majors and any token with a contract.

In the app: tap Onchain, tap a Popular chip such as BTC or search by name, ticker or contract, then tap a multiple or a drop under The move, or type a price under Or a specific price, and tap Arm it.

## A sound for where you are

Polite in the meeting, loud at 2am: a calm chime for the daytime, a siren for the 2am target, or The Butler if you want it polite.

## Just you, unless you say so

Your alarms are private until you share one. No exchange login, no wallet to connect, no keys.

**Try this.** Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or another AI agent that has the LFG Alarm connector (https://mcp.lfg.gm), not into the LFG Alarm app. The person needs the LFG Alarm app on their phone.

> Use LFG Alarm to set a private repeating alarm called "Look at the chart" for 6:00 PM every weekday, so I check the price once a day instead of all day. Then tell me when it goes off next.

Why it works: Your AI agent can set time alarms today. The price alarm itself is made in the app: tap Onchain, tap BTC, type 140,000 under Or a specific price and tap Arm it.

## Common mistakes

- Setting a price alert in an app you already ignore. If it is a banner, you will swipe it like all the others.
- Picking a target so close it rings every day. Set the number you would really act on.
- Checking anyway. Once the alarm is set, close the chart. That is the point.

## Questions

### What is LFG Alarm?
A social alarm clock for iPhone and Android. Besides times, it rings for moments: a price being hit, a post going up, an event starting.

### Is this a trading app?
No. LFG Alarm watches a price and rings your phone. What you do next is up to you, wherever you already do it.

### Do I connect an exchange or a wallet?
No. Pick a coin and a number. That is all.

### Will it ring through Do Not Disturb?
On Android it rings as a full-screen alarm, even on Do Not Disturb. On iPhone it arrives as a time-sensitive alert with the alarm's own sound, which can come through Focus; keep the ringer on.

### Which coins?
Majors like bitcoin, ether and solana, and any token with a contract.

### Can I set a percent move instead of a price?
Yes: a number, a percent up or down, or a multiple such as 2x.

### Is a percent measured from today's price?
Yes. A multiple or a percent is measured from the live price at the moment you arm it. A specific price means when it goes above that number.

LFG Alarm is a social alarm clock for iPhone, iPad and Android. It rings for times and for moments (a post on X, a stream going live, a token price, a wallet buying, an event starting), and one shared link makes every phone that joined ring together.
