# Connect LFG Alarm to Grok

To connect LFG Alarm to Grok, add a custom connector: on grok.com open **Connectors**, click **New Connector**, choose **Custom**, paste `https://mcp.lfg.gm` and sign in with your LFG Alarm account. Then ask Grok for the alarms around what you follow on X, like a Space at 9:00pm Eastern or a launch at noon UTC, and they ring on your phone, and your friends' phones if you share them. LFG Alarm is a social alarm clock for iPhone and Android: alarms for times and moments, shared by link so every phone that joined rings together.

## Before you start

- **Get the LFG Alarm app on your phone** from Google Play or the App Store, and sign in. Your AI agent makes the alarms; the app is what rings them.
- Have your LFG Alarm sign-in handy. You will sign in once, on lfg.gm, to let Grok use your account.

## Connect it

1. On [grok.com](https://grok.com) in a browser, go to **Connectors** ([grok.com/connectors](https://grok.com/connectors)).
2. Click **New Connector**, then **Custom**.
3. In **Name** type `LFG Alarm`, and in **Server URL** paste `https://mcp.lfg.gm`. Click **Add Connector**.

4. Sign in on lfg.gm with your LFG Alarm account when it asks, and tap **Allow**.

These steps follow Grok's own help pages as of October 2026. Menus move; if a label is different, look for where Grok lets you add a custom MCP server or connector.

## Use it in a chat

Just ask. Grok uses LFG Alarm on its own when your request is about alarms; there is no switch per chat.

Grok users often live on X, so the common ask is a time: a Space that starts at 9:00pm Eastern, a launch announced for noon UTC. Give Grok the time and the zone as the post says it, and ask for a friends alarm that rings everyone at the same moment. An alarm on an account's posts themselves, rather than a time, is made in the app with **👀 Social** for now.

## Try it

Once it is connected, ask in plain words:

**Try this.** Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or another AI agent that has the LFG Alarm connector (https://mcp.lfg.gm), not into the LFG Alarm app. The person needs the LFG Alarm app on their phone.

> Use LFG Alarm to set a one-off alarm for this Friday at 9:00pm New York time called "Space starts", make it a friends alarm that rings everyone at the same time, and give me the link.

Why it works: A moment in a named time zone, ringing everyone together, with a link to post for the people who should be there.

More ideas: "Wake me at 7:00 every weekday and call it Get up", "Make a friends alarm for Saturday at 9am called Golf and add my friends [username] and [username]", or "List my alarms". Today your AI agent can set time alarms, price alarms (a target price or a percent move), post alarms (an X account posting what you describe, or a Twitch or YouTube channel going live), event alarms from a Luma or Partiful link, and anything alarms (a private link any system can ring); list, change and delete them; add your friends or a whole group; pick a sound or look from the library; and add your own picture, song or voice. Each alarm it makes comes back with its link, a share picture with a QR code and a message ready to send. Wallet and trader alarms are made in the app for now. ## If it does not work

- **No Connectors page, or no Custom option.** xAI says connectors are for all Grok users, but some guides say custom ones need SuperGrok or X Premium+.
- **It says connected but has no tools.** Remove the connector and add it again, and make sure you finished the sign-in.
- **Still stuck?** Remove the connector and add it again, or write to us from the [support page](https://lfg.gm/support).

## Disconnect

Remove the LFG Alarm connector in Grok's settings. Your alarms stay in your LFG Alarm account and keep ringing.

## Questions

### Does it work in the Grok or X app?
Add it on grok.com. Whether it then works in the phone apps is not confirmed yet.

### Can Grok set an alarm for when an account posts?
Not yet through Grok. Make a post alarm in the LFG Alarm app with **👀 Social**; Rocco reads each new post and rings when it means what you wrote. See [Post alarms](https://lfg.gm/wiki/post-alarms).

### Will people in other countries ring at the right time?
Yes. A shared time alarm rings everyone at the same moment by default, and each person sees it in their own zone.

### Does LFG Alarm see my other chats?
No. LFG Alarm only receives what Grok sends when it uses LFG Alarm's tools.
